Use AI-generated drafts or write your own

Every maintenance request comes with an AI-generated reply draft. You can send it as-is, edit it, or write your own.

Using the AI draft

The draft is designed to be professional and helpful. It acknowledges the issue, sets reasonable expectations, and reassures the tenant that you're on it.

To use it:

  1. Review the draft in the request detail panel
  2. Edit it if you want to personalize or change anything
  3. Click "Send Reply" (or press r)

Copying instead of sending

If you prefer to send from your own email client (so replies come from your address):

  1. Click the copy button (or press c)
  2. The draft is copied to your clipboard
  3. Paste it into your email and send from there

Writing your own

You're not locked into the AI draft. Click into the text area and write whatever you want. The AI draft is just a starting point.

Auto-acknowledgment for low-priority requests

For severity 1-2 requests, you can turn on automatic acknowledgment in Settings. The tenant gets a quick "we received your request and will get back to you" message without you having to do anything.

Useful for non-urgent items where you don't need to respond right away but want the tenant to know you saw it.
